His practice extends from painting into sculpture,and is concerned with the construction of images, and how pictures and objects organise perception.
Wigney was one of directors of Sydney artist run initiative, Schmick Contemporary, in 2025, and is a co-director of Season at Joynton Avenue Creative Centre, Sydney, in 2026.
Wigney was the recipient of the Jenour Foundation Scholarship through the National Art School, in 2019. Recent solo exhibitons have been held with Laila Sydney, Schmick Contemporary and China Heights.
Wigney’s work has been featured in RUSSH magazine, Vogue Australia, Honi Soit and To Be magazine. He has contributed to Miasma Magazine and Voiceworks Magazine.
